En las arcas del Internet Archive pueden hallarse copias de miles de revistas de informática, nacidas bajo el encantamiento de los primeros sistemas de computación y de la necesidad de incorporar nuevos conceptos, tales como hardware, software, procesadores de texto, impresora o disco duro. Con ediciones operativas desde finales de los años 80 hasta la actualidad, el sitio permite avisar marcas, jugadores del mercado y empresas desaparecidas o reversionadas. En particular, la primera camada de revistas de computación, mayormente (aunque no solo) en idioma inglés, instruyeron a generaciones de usuarios para entender conceptos que eran mucho más disruptivos que cualquier tecnología actual y hasta invertían largos artículos en impartir lecciones simples de programación.
