Apetito por el Apocalipsis
¿Otra vez el fin del mundo? Ya llegó decenas de veces, por lo menos en el cine; cada mes que pasa, Netlix estrena una nueva película apocalíptica. El género cinematográfico “fin del mundo tal como lo conocemos” -con zombies o sin ellos- prospera en estos días, y alguna vez habrá que estudiar a esas pesadillas de hecatombe como lo que son: mitos modernos que nos explican a nosotros y al tiempo en que vivimos, entre el miedo a la destrucción y el deseo de que llegue pronto. Mientras tanto, en Estados Unidos y Europa hay grupos de extrema derecha que quieren apresurar la llegada del apocalipsis. Se los llama “aceleracionistas” y creen que, como los villanos de los dibujos animados, pueden alzarse con el poder provocando el caos.
Los aceleracionistas llevan nombres como Nordkreuz, Revolution Chemnitz o QAnon. Levantan la bandera de la supremacía blanca y esperan una “tormenta” que desencadene una guerra racial y la llegada de un nuevo orden, en la que ellos van a erigirse en salvadores de la patria. En Austria los grupos neonazis hablan del “Día X” como de ese día en que todo el aparato político va a caer y ellos crearán un nuevo orden, más limpio y más blanco. Lo peligroso no es que esperen el fin, lo que los pondría en el lugar de cualquier secta milenarista. El peligro está en que quieran provocarlo. Pero el fin del mundo es esquivo para quienes lo buscan; no va a llegar mientras lo sigan llamando.

Los aceleracionistas, ¿esperan el fin o lo provocan? “Los nazis no son pacientes, no quieren esperar” dice Anetta Kahane, directora de la Fundación Amadeu Antonio contra el racismo y la ideología de extrema derecha en Alemania. “Para ellos si la revolución no comienza por sí sola, hay que ayudarla. Es una estrategia activa, no pasiva.”
