Pensó que era la figura de Buda, le rezó durante 4 años y quedó atónita cuando descubrió la verdad

El insólito hecho se conoció en redes sociales, cuando la protagonista de la historia compró una figura verde de Buda, sin pensar que su divinidad, a la cual le rezó durante cuatro años, era el famoso personaje mítico de DreamWorks, Shrek.
En el mundo hay diversas religiones y creencias, entre estas se encuentran corrientes filosóficas y dogmáticas como son el cristianismo, el budismo, el hinduismo, el ateísmo y el islam.
Como dice el recordado refrán, “la fe mueve montañas”. Una frase que puede aplicarse perfectamente a la historia de esta mujer, quien durante cuatro años se encomendó a rezarle diariamente a su divinidad, el Dios Buda, sin pensar que la figura a la cual le tenía tanta devoción era el ogro Shrek.
La anécdota tuvo lugar en Filipinas, cuando una mujer compró una figura de Buda, sin pensar que se trataba del ogro verde de cuentos de hadas. Hasta que, una mañana cualquiera, un amigo la visitó en su casa y le señaló que la estatua se trataba de él.
Al parecer, se llevó una gran sorpresa, cuando su amigo le indicó la verdad. Sin embargo, como algunos usuarios argumentan, la mujer fue “una prueba de fe inquebrantable” y como dicen por ahí a “cualquier santo se le reza”.
La publicación fue compartida por @somoscomos. En ella, varios usuarios sacaron a relucir su ingenio en Twitter: crearon varios memes y se burlaron de la situación.
“Si existiera una religión de Shrek sin duda alguna haría parte de ella”; “Alabado seas, Shrek”; “Ojalá haberle rezado durante tanto tiempo a Shrek te traiga fortuna y buena salud”; “Cada quien le reza a lo que quiere”; “Esta historia es muy buena” y “El Dios del pantano”, fueron algunas de las reacciones por parte de las personas.
No es la primera vez que sucede algo similar, en Brasil, una anciana durante años le rezó a una figura de El señor de los Anillos. Por su túnica marrón, la corona y su cinturón, pensó que se trataba de San Antonio, un santo portugués.
En Facebook varios usuarios notaron que la figura se trataba de “Elrond”, un elfo de la famosa franquicia, que no tenía nada que ver con la estatua de San Antonio.
