The Matrix, el film que dio el puntapié al cine del futuro, ganó cuatro Oscar y recaudó más de 460 millones de dólares, cumple hoy 10 años.
La ciencia ficción en su máximo esplendor se vio en 1999 en esta producción protagonizada por Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne y Carrie-Anne Moss.
La película, escrita y dirigida por los hermanos Larry y Andy Wachowski, generó miles de aficionados -y algunos detractores-alrededor de la temática que trata: los hombres son esclavos de las máquinas.
Su éxito trajo, además, el desarrollo de dos producciones más, realizadas en 2003: The Matrix Reloaded y The Matrix Revolutions. Estas, sin embargo, no fueron tan bien recibidas por el público como la inicial.
