A partir del nuevo video de Mumford & Sons, repasamos otros ejemplos en los que las estrellas del cine son convocadas por las bandas para protagonizar sus clips

La aparición esta semana del video de “Hopeless Wanderer” de Mumford & Sons con Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte y Ed Helms personificando (claro, sin voz) a la banda nos lleva a esta selección de videos con actores y actrices. Pero antes que nada, el video en el que la rompen (literalmente) los mencionados comediantes:
Y sí, este año David Bowie actuó en un video con Tilda Swinton, y en otro tuvo a Gary Oldman y Marion Cotillard, pero de los de "elenco" y actuaciones vamos a recordar este que dirigió Julien Temple para "Into the Great Wide Open" de Tom Petty, con Johnny Depp, Faye Dunaway y la hermosa estrella que brillaba en los noventa Gabrielle Anwar:
Y ahora, un caso famoso de una actriz que fue muy famosa después pero que no era famosa cuando hizo el video. Cuando Courteney Cox bailaba con Bruce Springsteen (y ponía cara de sorpresa) no era Monica Geller de Friends ni Gale Weathers de Scream. Ni siquiera había actuado en la película de He-Man junto a Dolph Lundgren. La "chica del público" de "Dancing in the Dark", video dirigido por Brian De Palma, se convirtió en súper estrella y cambió para siempre el sentido del clip:
Sí, recordamos la acumulación de nombres famosos (y de ataque capilar ochentoso) en "Liberian Girl" de Michael Jackson. Entre otros Brigitte Nielsen, Paula Abdul, Carl Weathers, Whoopi Goldberg, Quincy Jones, Rosanna Arquette, Olivia Newton-John, John Travolta, Steven Spielberg, Lou Ferrigno, David Copperfield, Billy Dee Williams, Danny Glover, Dan Aykroyd y Steve Guttenberg. Y que Robert Downey Jr., en soledad, acaparó "I Want Love" de Elton John. Pero bailemos con este clásico de clásicos de los actores en videos, el que seguramente guarden los extraterrestres en sus archivos sobre la tierra cuando lleguen a este planeta arrasado dentro de cinco siglos. Elegancia, ritmo y un actor que tendría que haber vivido la época de oro del musical de Hollywood:
Y para terminar, una gran canción, un enorme cantante, un video que más o menos, pero que se justifica (y justifica a la humanidad entera) con la presencia de una belleza en su pico de esplendor. Jennifer Connelly más linda que nunca, y eso es mucho decir. Y antes de despedirnos, sí, el chico es de de Beverly Hills 90210, pero estábamos hablando de Jennifer, agradeciendo su existencia y la de esos jeans de la época.
