Trump, the main target of the protests during the G20
The group of organizations formed in opposition to the celebration of the G20 meeting in Buenos Aires, Confluencia Fuera G-20 FMI, has already determined the main target of the protests: the president of the United States, Donald Trump .
The republican leader will be the visitor concentrating the main darts of the organizations that will carry out activities and protests. "Trump and other imperialist leaders out," is the only one of the five slogans chosen for the mobilization that includes the name of a foreign president.
Friday's march, which will start at the corner of San Juan and 9 de Julio, will have four other slogans: "No to the G20," "Down with the Macri-IMF agreement," "For the non-payment of the external debt "and "No to surrender and repression ". A sixth slogan was dedicated to the president elect of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro , but it was discarded after Brasilia announced that he will not visit Argentina. "The presence of Trump is an irritating element," Isaac "Yuyo" Rudnic, of Libres del Sur, told LA NACION.

Regardless of the harshness of the slogans, Confluencia Fuera G-20 says it is committed to peaceful protest and accused the government of creating a climate of violence. It also maintains that the government is are making it harder to organize Friday's protest because, in addition to the suspension of train and subway services, the bus owners raised their prices or, directly, refuse to be hired.
"The government is intimidating the owners of the buses so that they do not provide us with the service," said Rudnic. "And the few that we were able to hire, I do not know if they will be allowed to enter the city of Buenos Aires." Another concern of the members of Confluencia G-20 is the organization of the musical festival planned for Thursday night at the Congress. The corner of Rivadavia and Entre Ríos will be as from that day at 8 pm inside the exclusion zone.
The closing act is scheduled for 7pm. An hour later the musical festival will begin, with bands like Sudor Marika, Kumbia Queers, Arbolito and Daniel Devita
That is why the authorities demand that the activities finish before. The organizations have planned for that day a series of activities that begin at 10 am, with a conference in the tents that will be installed in the Plaza del Congreso. "Resistance to the G-20 and the IMF", "How to stop the advance of the right in the region" are the slogans. Another tent, with activities between 10 am and 7pm will be dedicated to the Feminist Forum against the G-20. Between 3.30 and 4 pm the attention will move to the Plaza de Mayo, where the protesters will accompany the Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo in their traditional round of Thursdays.
The closing act is scheduled for 7pm. An hour later the musical festival will begin, with bands like Sudor Marika, Kumbia Queers, Arbolito and Daniel Devita. The organizers intend to finish at 11 pm, three hours after the closing time scheduled by the authorities, and only then dismantle the tents installed in the square.
