La Iglesia comienza a investigar el "VatiLeaks"
Abrió una extensa pesquisa penal
ROMA.- Bajo la sombra del "VatiLeaks", una inédita filtración de documentos reservados que sacudió sus entrañas, el Vaticano anunció ayer que abrió una investigación penal que atañe a todos los órganos de la Santa Sede.
Fue el número tres del Papa, el arzobispo Angelo Becciú, sustituto de la Secretaría de Estado, quien en una entrevista con L' Osservatore Romano reveló que la investigación será conducida a nivel penal por el promotor de justicia del Tribunal vaticano, y a nivel administrativo por la Secretaría de Estado. Por otra parte, Benedicto XVI estableció una "comisión superior" para echar luz sobre el asunto.
"El auspicio es que se recomponga la base de nuestro trabajo: la confianza recíproca, que obviamente presupone seriedad, lealtad, rectitud", dijo Becciú, que admitió el "dolor que todo esto le provoca al Papa". "Benedicto XVI, sin embargo, nos alienta a mirar hacia adelante y su testimonio cotidiano de serenidad y determinación es un estímulo para todos nosotros", agregó.
El "VatiLeaks" comenzó a fines de enero, cuando medios italianos publicaron documentos , cartas anónimas e informes secretos -salidos inexplicablemente desde la misma Secretaría de Estado-, que dejaron ver una virtual guerra interna en el Vaticano, llena de intrigas, sospechas y acusaciones cruzadas de corrupción.
La mayoría de los vaticanistas italianos cree que el blanco de la fuga de noticias es el actual secretario de Estado, Tarcisio Bertone, el número dos del Papa, cuestionado por la vieja guardia de la curia romana que responde a su antecesor, el cardenal Angelo Sodano.
