Coronavirus: Israel levantará todas las restricciones el 1º de junio

TEL AVIV.- Israel sostiene que superó la pandemia de coronavirus y desde el 1º de junio levantará casi todas las restricciones. Así lo anunció hoy el ministro de Salud, Yuli Edelstein.
“Hace menos de seis meses empezamos a vacunar y realizamos la mejor campaña de vacunación del mundo”, destacó.
Todas las actividades podrán ahora reanudarse, aunque en los locales cerrados todavía será obligatorio el uso de barbijo o tapabocas.
La mayor preocupación -agregó Edelstein-, se refiere a la entrada y salida de Israel. Sobre este frente, las medidas cautelares siguen vigentes “e incluso podrían endurecerse”.
Por la amplia y acelerada campaña de vacunación, Israel eliminó el uso de tapabocas o barbijo al aire libre el último mes de abril. La medida, segúm Edelstein, fue tomada basándose en los consejos de expertos sanitaristas. Además, el funcionario afirmó que “el nivel de morbilidad en Israel es muy bajo gracias a nuestra exitosa campaña de vacunación y, por lo tanto, podemos relajar más restricciones”.
La suspensión restricciones fue analizada durante semanas por el gobierno israelí. Asimimo, el último mes, el país de medio oriente vio el regreso del sistema educativo en su totalidad y sin medidas de grupos burbuja.
Israel ha tenido una de las campañas más exitosas de vacunación contra el coronavirus con 5,1 millones de ciudadanos que recibieron el esquema completo de inmunización.
