Turquía asegura haber rescatado a cerca de un centenar de migrantes en aguas del mar Egeo
Las autoridades de Turquía han asegurado haber rescatado a cerca de un centenar de migrantes en el mar Egeo y han denunciado nuevamente que todos ellos fueron rechazados por la Guardia Costera griega cuando entraron en sus aguas territoriales.
La Guardia Costera turca ha detallado que un total de 92 migrantes fueron rescatados en varias embarcaciones frente a las costas de los distritos de Cesme y Dikili, ambos situados en la provincia de Esmirna (oeste).
Asimismo, ha subrayado que todos ellos han sido llevados a puerto y entregados a las autoridades migratorias para que se analice su estatus, sin que haya detalles sobre sus nacionalidades, tal y como ha recogido la agencia estatal turca de noticias, Anatolia.
Turquía ha cargado duramente contra Grecia en los últimos meses y acusa a Atenas de expulsar ilegalmente de sus aguas a las embarcaciones que llegan a ellas desde costas turcas.
La tensión ha aumentado durante los últimos meses en la zona del Mediterráneo oriental a medida que Grecia y Turquía se embarcan en una disputa marítima sobre la exploración de hidrocarburos en la zona. Ambos países están enfrentados también en torno a Chipre.
