Socorren en Francia a 15 menores migrantes que intentaban cruzar a Inglaterra
Quince menores, de entre 1 y 16 años, fueron socorridos en la madrugada del viernes en una playa del norte de Francia cuando intentaban cruzar hacia Inglaterra acompañados de adultos, indicaron este viernes las autoridades.
"Los bomberos atendieron a 15 menores en estado de hipotermia", que fueron trasladados al hospital, indicó en un comunicado la prefectura del Paso de Calais, precisando que sus vidas no corren peligro.
La delegación del gobierno local precisó en su comunicado que un gendarme tuvo que reanimar en la playa de Camiers (norte) a una niña de 5 años sacada del agua.
"Un centenar de migrantes", según esta fuente, intentaron zarpar desde esta playa durante la noche, cuando las temperaturas en Francia se sitúan en torno a los 0 grados en los últimos días del otoño boreal.
Cada vez más migrantes y refugiados buscan alcanzar las costas inglesas en peligrosas travesías a bordo de pequeñas embarcaciones desde Francia. Más de 40.000 lo lograron en 2022, un récord.
El 24 de noviembre de 2021, 27 migrantes perdieron la vida en el naufragio de su embarcación frente a las costas de Calais, la peor tragedia registrada en el canal de la Mancha.
