BUENOS AIRES, 10 feb (Reuters) - La Bolsa de Cereales de Buenos Aires (BdeC) recortó el jueves su pronóstico de producción del maíz del ciclo 2021/22 de Argentina a 51 millones de toneladas desde los 57 millones estimados anteriormente, debido al impacto de una sequía y altas temperaturas entre diciembre y enero.
El mes pasado, la Bolsa de Comercio de Rosario (BCR) había bajado con fuerza su estimación para el cereal de Argentina -el segundo exportador mundial de maíz- a 48 millones de toneladas desde los 56 millones previstos previamente, debido a las condiciones climáticas adversas.
"La baja en la expectativa de rinde en los planteos tempranos del cereal, provoca una disminución de 6 MTn (millones de toneladas) en nuestra proyección de cosecha", dijo la Bolsa de Buenos Aires en su reporte semanal de cultivos.
La entidad advirtió que los requerimientos de agua del cultivo aún no han terminado, en momentos en que los lotes sembrados de manera tardía comienzan a ingresar en importantes etapas de desarrollo de rendimientos.
"Son necesarios nuevos eventos de lluvia durante las próximas semanas, para mantener el potencial productivo de los planteos sembrados durante el verano", explicó la Bolsa.
En medio de los pronosticos desalentadores, los productores argentinos ya finalizaron la siembra de toda el área esperada para el cereal.
"Gran parte del centro-este (la región agrícola núcleo de Argentina) y el sudoeste del área agrícola recibirán aportes escasos -menos de 10 milímetros-, con focos de registros moderados -10 a 25 milímetros-", señaló la Bolsa de Buenos Aires.
Para el período entre el 17 y el 23 de febrero, la entidad prevé un incremento de las temperaturas, que será seguido de un frente frío que generará por lo general lluvias "moderadas", de entre 10 y 25 milímetros, en las principales regiones agrícolas.
El jueves, la Bolsa de Rosario advirtió sobre el potencial regreso de un "desastre productivo" para la soja similar al visto hace cuatro años, debido a que aún se registran condiciones muy secas en la zona agrícola núcleo de Argentina y se espera una prolongación de la falta de lluvias.
Si bien señaló que aún era temprano para hacer nuevos recortes en su cálculo de cosecha, la Bolsa de Rosario advirtió que rendimientos de cosechas del maíz más tempranas de lo habitual mostraban "malas señales" para la producción.
Soja 21/22
Con respecto a la soja 2021/22, cuya siembra ya finalizó, la Bolsa de Buenos Aires señaló que el 83% del área sembrada con la oleaginosa presenta condiciones entre normales y excelentes, aunque advirtió que el norte del núcleo agrícola informa condiciones hídricas entre regulares y de sequía.
La semana pasada, la Bolsa redujo en 2 millones de toneladas, a 42 millones, su estimación de cosecha para la soja argentina 2021/22, debido al impacto negativo del clima registrado a fines del año pasado e inicios del 2022.
Argentina es el principal exportador mundial de aceite y harina derivados de la soja.
