Putin anuncia que el misil balístico intercontinental 'Sarmat' estará listo para finales de 2022
El presidente de Rusia, Vladimir Putin, ha anunciado este martes que el misil balístico intercontinental 'Sarmat' estará listo para finales de 2022, una pieza clave del arsenal armamentístico de Moscú y con capacidad para alcanzar objetivos en toda Europa e incluso en Estados Unidos.
"Ya se realizó con éxito un lanzamiento de prueba del misil intercontinental pesado 'Sarmat' y está previsto que entre en servicio hacia finales de año", ha aseverado el presidente, que ha asegurado que las Fuerzas Armadas rusas "no dejan de perfeccionarse".
"Nuestras Fuerzas Armadas van perfeccionándose en todas las ramas más importantes. (...) No hay duda de que seremos aún más fuertes", ha asegurado, según informaciones recabadas por agencias de noticias estatales.
En este sentido, ha señalado que Moscú "seguirá desarrollando y reforzando sus Fuerzas Armadas teniendo en cuenta las amenazas militares y los riesgos potenciales" para el país, al tiempo que "aprende de los conflictos armados contemporáneos".
A finales de abril, el presidente ruso dijo confiar en que este nuevo misil disuada a quienes están intentando "amenazar" a Rusia y aseguró tras un ensayo balístico que el 'Sarmat' puede sortear los sistemas de defensa existentes.
