PARÍS — El presidente francés Emmanuel Macron trasmite a su colega ucraniano Volodymyr Zelenskyy su “deseo de trabajar activamente para restablecer la soberanía e integridad territorial de Ucrania durante su segundo mandato” y en coordinación con los aliados, dice el Palacio del Eliseo.
Durante su conversación de una hora el sábado, Macron aseguró a Zelenskyy que seguiría enviando “material militar” y ayuda humanitaria a Ucrania, dijo el Eliseo.
Francia ha enviado hasta ahora 615 toneladas de pertrechos y ayuda que incluyen generadores para hospitales, ambulancias y alimentos. Francia ha sido discreta en cuanto al envío de armamento defensivo, pero Macron mencionó recientemente misiles antitanque Milan y cañones Cesar montados en camiones.
“El apoyo seguirá fortaleciéndose”, dijo el presidente francés al ucraniano, según el Eliseo.
Macron acaba de ser reelegido a la presidencia. Durante su primer quinquenio mantuvo numerosas conversaciones con Zelenskyy y con el presidente ruso Vladimir Putin desde la invasión rusa que comenzó el 24 de febrero.

LEÓPOLIS, Ucrania — El ministro de Exteriores de Rusia dice que Moscú evacuó a un millón de personas de Ucrania desde el inicio de la guerra.
Las declaraciones de Sergéi Lavrov en una entrevista con la agencia noticiosa estatal china Xinhua publicada el sábado se producen mientras Kiev acusa a Moscú de sacar a sus ciudadanos del país por la fuerza. Según Lavrov, la cifra incluía a más de 300 civiles chinos.
Durante la entrevista, Lavrov no ofreció evidencias que respalden su afirmación.
El ministro dijo también que las negociaciones entre Rusia y Ucrania continúan “casi todos los días", pero advirtió que “no ha sido fácil avanzar".
Lavrov culpó en parte a “la retórica bélica y las acciones incendiarias de los partidarios occidentales del régimen de Kiev” por la interrupción del diálogo. Sin embargo, la televisora estatal rusa ha tenido cada noche invitados que sugieren a Moscú que use armas nucleares en el conflicto.

LEÓPOLIS, Ucrania — Las fuerzas rusas en Ucrania podrían estar sufriendo una “debilitamiento moral", dice el ejército de Gran Bretaña.
El Ministerio de Defensa británico hizo esta valoración en un tuit el sábado, dentro de su reporte diario sobre la guerra rusa en Ucrania.
Moscú “enfrenta todavía desafíos considerables” en combate, apuntó agregando que cree que las tropas rusas “se han visto obligadas a fusionar y redesplegar a unidades agotadas y dispares tras los fallidos avances en el noreste" del país.
Las autoridades británicas no explicaron cómo llegaron a esta conclusión. Pero los analistas creen que las fuerzas rusas que no pudieron tomar Kiev al inicio de la invasión se han desplegado en otras zonas sin el tiempo necesario para rearmarse y reequiparse adecuadamente.
Según los británicos, Rusia espera reorganizar su ofensiva y acortar las líneas de suministro.
“La falta de habilidades a nivel de unidad y un respaldo aéreo inconsistente han dejado a Rusia incapaz de aprovechar plenamente su fuerza de combate, a pesar de las mejoras localizadas", añadió.
