Canciller ruso continúa su gira africana en Uganda
El jefe de la diplomacia rusa, Serguéi Lavrov, llegó el lunes a Uganda, la tercera etapa de su gira africana, anunció una portavoz de la diplomacia rusa.
Lavrov viajó previamente a Egipto y Congo, donde buscó tranquilizar a sus socios sobre el futuro de las exportaciones de grano tras la firma de un acuerdo entre Ucrania y Rusia que prevé crear "corredores seguros", alejando así el riesgo de una hambruna en África.
"Serguéi Lavrov fue recibido en Entebbe por su homólogo ugandés" Jeje Odongo, escribió en Telegram Maria Zajárova, portavoz del ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores.
En Entebbe se encuentra el aeropuerto internacional próximo a la capital ugandesa, Kampala.
La agencia de noticias rusa TASS afirma que Lavrov se entrevistará el martes con el presidente ugandés Yoweri Museveni.
Pero, contactadas el lunes, las autoridades del país no pudieron dar más detalles del programa de la visita.
"El presidente Yoweri Museveni, que viajó por última vez a Rusia en 2019, pidió reforzar la relación bilateral, sobre todo en defensa y seguridad, cooperación económica y técnica", escribió el domingo el gobierno ugandés en Twitter
El 90% de la exportación de trigo, maíz y girasoles de Ucrania se hacía por vía marítima, y sobre todo por Odesa, principal puerto ucraniano en el mar Negro, bombardeado por Rusia al día siguiente de la firma del acuerdo.
"No hay ninguna disposición en el acuerdo firmado el 22 de julio en Turquía que nos prohíba proceder a la operación militar especial (como Rusia denomina a la invasión de Ucrania, ndlr) y destruir infraestructura militar", afirmó Lavrov durante una conferencia de prensa el lunes tras su reunión con el jefe de Estado de Congo, Denis Sassou Nguesso.
Según Lavrov, "expertos imparciales confirmaron lo que dijimos desde el principio: la terminal de cereales está situada a una distancia importante de la parte militar", añadió.
Ucrania criticó el lunes con vehemencia la gira de Lavrov en África, calificándola de "quintaesencia del sadismo ruso", según un consejero de la presidencia, Myjailo Podolyak.
"Organizáis una hambruna artificial e intentáis después tranquilizar a la gente", afirmó.
Lavrov viajará a continuación a Etiopía, última etapa de su viaje a África, pero no se conocen los detalles de la visita.
